IMPORTANT: Stopping development for a while


It's been becoming more and more difficult to upload update for the game, as I no longer have constant access to the internet. Until I manage to either change my ISP or find another way to have a stable internet connection, updates will rarely be released. It really hurts to write this as Star Cleaner is my favorite project and I really enjoy working on it. Of course, I may occasionally try to release some updates if I have internet at the time, but other than that, you can expect development to slow down dramatically for the next year and a half.

I want to address a (possible) issue with the game, that being that the saving system may not work for some users. If you're one of those users, the solution to the problem is the following:

  1. Go to the "C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\2d-spacer" folder.
  2. Make a folder called "saves" in it.
  3. Saving and loading should work now.

Also, you can edit your save file by going to the directory mentioned above and opening "[profile name].cfg" in a text editor. Most values should be self-explanatory.

Last thing: development will return to its former state by June of 2024. That's it.

Even without internet I would encourage you to keep up the great work, it is enjoyed. Thanks for your hard work.

I'm still working on the game, it was just way too difficult to actually put in some effort if I wouldn't even be able to upload it. Thankfully, after 2 months of unstable internet and 1 of almost no internet, it seems that my ISP has finally fixed whatever issue they had, so I'll be able to upload the next update with no issues. I'll also make another devlog in a few days both to update anyone else following the project regarding the development rate - which should return to normal in a few days/weeks - and to also show what I've been working on these past couple of weeks.
